Anonymous asked: What are your thoughts about the verses in the Bible that are "against" transgender and homosexual characteristics? I'm not trying to use them to argue against them, I'm just stuck and curious and confused.

thatsthat24:

Honestly, those verses are from either Leviticus, which was an ancient book of laws for an ancient time that should not be used today (which some historians even speculate were not even referring to homosexuality), or from one of the letters that were written by a follower of Jesus who was infusing his own opinions into the writing. Jesus’ last commandment he left his apostles before being crucified was “Love one another”. Not to mention, he even heals a centurion’s male servant (who historians have agreed was also his lover) and told them they are welcome through the gates of Heaven. For all those that use the Bible as a reason against homosexuality, I point this simple fact out to them. And seriously, if you are a follower of Christ, who would you listen to: a bunch of ancient laws and someone writing a letter, or Christ himself?
